The media seems to be in middle-class mania today, with lots of stories aimed at the 99%.

Unions make the middle class stronger. In fact, the middle class needs unions to survive. But don’t take my word for it, just check with Abe Lincoln.

“All that serves labor serves the nation. All that harms is treason. If a man tells you he trusts America, yet fears labor, he is a fool. There is no America without labor, and to fleece the one is to rob the other.” — Abraham Lincoln.

Many Republicans don’t want tax cuts for middle class unless the 1% can get a sweetener too. 

“One would think Republicans would have reasoned thus: We're for tax cuts. We think taxes are bad and hurt the economy, thwart job creation and give government too much money to spend. While we'd like to extend them for everyone, that idea failed. So we'll take half a loaf and continue tax relief for the middle class.”  But as we all know, there is little room for logic in the halls of the Capitol Building.

President Obama released an ad today that states he believes the best “way you grow the economy is from the middle out.” We couldn’t agree more Mr. President.

Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona criticized President Obama this week for talking about the middle class. That’s right folks, the President was scolded for speaking to the group of people that half of all Americans identify themselves with. The same group of people who produce the goods the keep our economy running, and will likely decide the election. How dare you Mr. President…?
