Letter from Anna Burger to Zenroren on Zenroren Toyota General Action
Re: Zenroren Toyota General Action on February 12 2007
February 9, 2007
Dear Colleague,
On behalf of the six million members of the Change to Win Federation, I would like to extend to you our heartfelt feelings of solidarity. In North America we too are facing the increasing pressures of growing social inequality, and we share your deep concern. We support your unified demand to narrow the gap between the haves and the have-nots, and to address the unacceptable phenomenon of “working poor.”
Increasingly, we face an integrated global economy where a few huge
multinationals, such as Toyota, make the rules, sometimes not taking into account the interests and welfare of the local or national communities in which they operate.
It is therefore of paramount importance that workers’ organizations work in concert across national boundaries to ensure that workers’ voices are heard in the capitals, the boardrooms, and the streets.
On the occasion of your February 12 rally, we ask that you convey our message of solidarity to the members and supporters of Zenroren. We are stronger together.
In solidarity,
Anna Burger
Chair, Change to WIn
