Philly Rallies Against U.S. Chamber Extremism

Last Friday, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohuethe man whose leadership compromised the Chamber’s position as the “voice of business” — came to Philadelphia to give a speech.

He (and his audience) was met at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel by a diverse coalition of progressive groups, joined together with a single question: who does Tom Donohue speak for? As his use of the Chamber to expound extreme right-wing positions on issues like global warming and financial reform continues to drive more and more companies out, it’s a timely question indeed.

Marc Stier of Health Care for America Now, who was at the rally, has a good write-up of the proceedings on his blog, and got some video of several of the speakers as well, which I’m happy to share here!
