Great news — Harry Reid has just told reporters that Sen. Ted Kennedy’s brain cancer is in remission, and that Kennedy is preparing to return to work:
Sen. Edward Kennedy’s brain cancer is in remission, and the Massachusetts Democrat is expected back in the Senate after the Memorial Day recess, according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Reid (D-Nev.) said Tuesday that he spoke with Kennedy’s wife and was told the 77-year-old lawmaker will return to work full time during the first week of June.
Anyone who’s had a family member struggle with cancer (I lost my mother to lung cancer a little over three years ago) knows how devastating such a diagnosis can be — and how bleak the odds can seem; so it’s thrilling to see Senator Kennedy emerge from that struggle. May he be with us all for a long time to come.

I am so heartened to hear that Senator Kennedy's
cancer is in remission! Thank goodness we will
have this strong advocate for working families
returning to congress next month and I look
forward to seeing him take on the republicans in
the future.
