Faces of Employee Free Choice: Ben Karnitschnig

The One Million Strong for Employee Free Choice campaign is rolling on, and the response has been tremendous — more than 300,000 people have joined already in just the few days since the campaign was launched! It’s inspiring to see so many working people standing up for their rights.

I thought it might be interesting to check in with some of these people and get their stories about why they support the Employee Free Choice Act, so I’ve spent some time gathering their stories to share with you. I’ll be posting these “Faces of Employee Free Choice” all this week.

Our first profile is of Ben Karnitschnig of Prescott, Arizona, who joined the campaign on July 8:

I asked Ben why he joined the campaign, and here’s what he said:

The Employee Free Choice Act helps protect the unknown workers of America. These people are not on the cover of a magazine but shaping America no less. Their wages, benefits, and working conditions may need to revisited. The Employee Free Choice Act ensures that these workers be heard by forming unions. A single voice may not be heard, but a group will echo. United we stand, just like a Union. My name is Ben Karnitschnig, and I proudly support the Employee Free Choice Act.

Want to join Ben in supporting the right of workers to achieve the American Dream? Join the One Million Strong for Employee Free Choice campaign today — it’s easy and free, and you’ll be part of a movement that’s growing every day!
