Shame on Elaine

150x200shame1 The always-excellent American Rights at Work has launched a new site today titled "Shame on Elaine" that exposes the questionable leadership of Elaine Chao, George Bush's Secretary of Labor:

Have you ever wondered who Elaine Chao is? As the longest-standing member of Bush’s cabinet, you’d expect a certain level of analysis of her activities as Secretary of Labor. But unlike her cohorts in the Bush administration, Elaine has escaped much-needed public scrutiny of her record.

Elaine Chao’s egregious policies include rollbacks of critical mine safety protections, hostility toward workers and their unions, and collaboration with corporate interests, most notably through her husband, Senator Mitch McConnell.

Among other Fun Facts, you can discover through the site how Senator McConnell put in a $14.2 million earmark to build the "Elaine L. Chao Auditorium" at his alma mater, the University of Louisville. I know I'm glad that my tax dollars went for that one.

Anyway, the site is great, go check it out already!
