In just a couple days, many Americans will be getting up early for the busiest shopping day of the year, and if their shopping at Wal-Mart, they might be greeted by protesters and Wal-Mart employees demanding Wal-Mart to stop bullying and firing their "associates", and start paying better wages. "The Black Friday rallies and demonstrations represent a dramatic escalation of the growing protest movement among employees of America's largest private employer."

Wal-Mart is clearly concerned there will be a large turnout of protesters this Friday. The company asked judges in Maryland and Florida to bar protesters from entering stores on Black Friday, and the judges granted their requests. "Walmart has made it a practice to pursue over-the-top legal maneuvers to try to avoid hearing the real concerns of workers and community members," said Derrick Plummer, spokesman for Making Change at Walmart.
