Sector Coordinating Committees
Our goals of securing for workers a paycheck that supports a family, affordable health care, a secure retirement, and dignity on the job can only be accomplished through increased cooperation and coordination of our organizing and collective bargaining activities. We know that we can achieve more together than we can individually, and we know that this principle applies not just to our members but also to our unions.
The Change to Win constitution establishes Sector Coordinating Committees in major industries to coordinate the organizing and bargaining activities of affiliated unions, develop strategic organizing plans, and set bargaining goals and contract standards.
We are in a fight to have work valued and rewarded in this country. — Service Employees International Union President Andrew Stern
